A Post for Toast

Our Toasty boy keeps loosing his teeth. The past 2 months he's lost 4. The tooth fairy was pretty good for 3 of those, but the fourth, not so good. Toast woke up and searched high and low for his compensation, and even had his sister help him search, but when the search proved to be futile he came into our room with the saddest look saying, "the tooth fairy doesn't like me." I told him the tooth fairy was in China all night long, and didn't have time to make it to Arizona before he woke up. This little episode repeated itself 4 times. F-O-U-R!  4!! You would think Daniel and I could pull it together, but once we head to bed the only thing we can think about is sleep. Finally the tooth fairy managed to get the job done, and even doubled the $$ received. So the Toast was very pleased indeed. So pleased that he bragged it up on the drive to school, telling our little friend all about his woes. She replies, "yeah, that happens." And she told Toast about the time that the tooth fairy didn't make it to her house for 3 days, and she got triple the $$$! Hearing her tale made my day. Its good to know the tooth fairy runs late at other homes too.

Hi Kimmy!

I missed seeing adorable litle Ben on Sunday.

Yes! The Tooth Fairy runs late at our house also. Cheers to Toast!

Few things in life are as maniacal as the TF! Who thought that one up anyway? I've always thought it's kind of creepy sneaking into their rooms (holding your breath and hoping you don't step on a noisy toy) just to feel around under their PILLOWS and hope you can find a yucky old tooth. Poorly conceived idea I tell you!! :)

Not only does the TF come late to our house sometimes, she doesn't even pay double for the trouble. Although one morning my children went back to their room after breakfast to find the door locked. We thought that was odd. When I unlocked the door for them, lo and behold there was $ under the pillow. Turns out the TF came while they were eating breakfast and locked the door so she wouldn't get caught. Clever fairy.

That picture of him is great!

At our house, the tooth fairy adds a buck for each day late. The kids got so they wanted that to happen.

I like the China story....

I have done the same thing, usually I can do the whole dollar up my sleep trick and go in and let it slip out as I say, "I need to look under that pillow." Last time Kenzie was so confused becasue I grabbed her tooth in my hand as I looked under her pillow and then gave her the dollar. I am bad, I told her she must have woken up right before the tooth fairy was about to take her tooth and so the TF had to hide in her room until Kenzie came to get me and tell me about her tooth still being there. Then when she left the TF made the quick switch and had to bolt out of our house. MaKenzie thought that was so funny that she almost caught the TF and scared her into hiding. Your little buddy is getting so big, he is adorable!
